Happy December

Oh happy days of rushing about shopping, decorating, and celebrating the holiday season. We rush through it so fast, each of waiting to just relax after the holidays that we forget to enjoy the preparation of the season, the gathering of friends and family and the joy of giving to our friends from the heart. Take a moment this December to relax now and enjoy the wonderful gift of friends and family and sharing and giving. I think, like me, you will enjoy the season so much more. This year, I won't be planning to take that holiday trip, but thinking about how to fill my time with the traditions that make Christmas a joyous time for me and my family.

This is my atc for the guild's 11/06 theme 'Food for Thought' As I worked on this project, I kept thinking that food for thought should be a question, so I came up with this question about women being on the moon, 2. Now that is food for thought.

Self Portrait ATC for 10/06 for the Artist Trading Card Guild. I drew on the glasses myself because I won't be me without my glasses. Oh, the expression is one of concentration and creativeness. 

Spooky friends hanging out on my kitchen table this fall season!!! 

It's Pumpkin Time! A long time ago, I bought several decorated pumpkins in Rochester, MN. while visiting my cousin, Donna. Well, I saw these little pumpkins and decided that I would try to decorate them myself. These are whitish pumpkins and must have a waxy coating on them because I had to use 4 coats of purple paint on them. Put a few (is it ever a few?) rhineshones on and some sheer orange ribbon and there you have it. I love them!!! But I am going to give them to my Mom and I am sure I will make a few more for me and others special friends. Took my about an hour to do, I didn't really wait for anything to dry, just kept on going. 

Just a lady I got from a cabinet card, I love her expression so much that I thought I would give her wings! 

Birds and Words, here's just one of twelve atcs I sent to Rock, Paper, Scissors ATC Guild for September 06 swap. Can't wait to get my cards from the first swap. And can't wait for the next theme. 

About Time...

Blogger sure took its time. I posted on 9/10/06 and it took about a week to post to my blog. I know I haven't posted in a long time but it took blogger even longer to post my stuff. Oh well!!!
