Simple Artwork

Just a simple artwork that I made today in about a half hour. It took that much time becuase I had to wait for the paint to dry on the 4x6 canvas board. And a little time for the glue to dry but it was so much fun working on something small. I used a mix of beads for her crowning glory with diamond glaze as the glue. Where would I be without diamond glaze? I want to use other adhesives but keep coming back to the glaze. Tied a silky bow on the bottom and it's done. I might send it to my goddaughter to cheer her up. On the back I will finish it with a note to her and how much I love her. Just wanted to share. 

Almost Spring!

It's March, so spring can't be far behind. It's snowing today where I live, it's okay, it's just light and fluffy. It has been awhile since I have been to my blog, I have been busy with art projects and other things, but I haven't forgotten anyone. Working on some special things for Spring 4 some of my friends. I have been playing with a little cardboard house that I got from Artitude and it is so much fun. I think I will make it a 'muse house' when it is all finished. I sent a house to my friends, I wonder if they ever played with their houses? Well, I will check back later.

Art 4 Me!!!

I made this calendar for myself. Amazing considering that I usually do calendars for others! I told you that I needed some wall art for myself so I got to thinking about a calendar for myself, besides I had the calendar cards left over and TA-DA!!! It was so much fun to do art for me. I used images from Artgirls, my new favorite art source. And I didn't cut very closely around the images for a change and I think it worked out nicely. Next time, I scan my calendar cards I will only scan the artwork, the pics are a little big. The last is a photo of the whole calendar put together, and I can hang it on the wall, right next to my other artsy calendar. My friend, D's artwork is on that calendar so I had to hang it up. Maybe I will hang the calendars close to each other. Just thought I would share with you.

 

 

 

 

 

Art 4 Me

Well, with all my 2005 projects behind me, I decided to do some art for myself. It has been a long time since I worked on art for my own satisfaction!!! Since I moved into my art space, I noticed that the walls are a bit bare. So I am working on art for the walls, some art gems that I can look at when my muse has flown. I have 2 completed and will post pictures later. I am working on a 3rd piece but waiting for an order to be delivered before completing. I ordered some cool things from ArtGirlz!! My new favorite shopping place.

Late but true, I wish all a very happy New Year filled with sunshine and art!!
